Channeling effortless glamour of vintage Italian and French films, Ciao Lucia’s overtly feminine dresses, airy separates and optimistically bold prints transport the wearer to a Mediterranean summer state of mind. The brand was conceived in 2017 by California native, Lucy Akin.
Escape Essentials
The collections are cast in travel-ready fabrics — washed cotton, poplin, silk voile and knits. Inspired by the cinematic lifestyle of the Italian and French Riviera, Akin created a line for the worldly, fiercely independent woman with a taste for the finer things.

Thoughtful design elements—keyhole ties on dresses, puff sleeves, smocking and button adornments reminiscent of vintage swimsuits—lend sensual appeal to these effortlessly elegant pieces.
Mindfully Made
Ciao Lucia’s considered collections are made locally in Los Angeles by small manufacturers, sewers and pattern makers who are as invested in each piece as Akin herself. The brand is striving to reduce plastic waste as much as possible, shipping items in recyclable mailers with compostable tape and stickers and avoiding polyester packaging and plastic hangers.
