Heirlome is a luxury ready-to-wear brand built on the idea of forgotten traditions. Hailing from a family of art collectors, co-founder Stephanie Suberville’s designs introduce a new artisan’s work each season, explored through print, pattern and embroidery. Effortless forms crafted from exquisite fabrics with extraordinary details are brought to life using bygone techniques that call for hand made elements. Respecting authenticity and impeccable tailoring, the brand ensures each piece will be treasured and passed down for generations.

Forgotten Traditions

Heirlome is the Middle English spelling for heirloom. The name celebrates artisanal craft that has been in families for many generations. Suberville believes that knowledge, taste and technique are heirloom-worthy attributes that can be inherited and truly valued. Her nostalgic designs range from delicately pleated skirts and tops to dramatic full sweep dresses and oversized silk trenches.

Easy Elegance

Founded in New York by a wife and husband duo—Stephanie Suberville and Jeffrey Axford, Heirlome is quickly earning cult status in the city and beyond. Suberville honed her design skills at La Ligne and Rag & Bone, prior to launching her  luxury ready-to-wear collection.

Past, Present & Future

Stephanie Suberville grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. Her parents were avid collectors of local art, fueling an appreciation for craftsmanship and the country’s rich culture in their children. Suberville considers it a privilege to be able to collaborate with a community of skilled artisans, cutters, pattern makers and sewers to bring every collection to life.

“I’m inspired by the juxtaposition of past and present, like the pre-Hispanic motifs mixed with modern sleek cityscapes in Mexico City.”

– STEPHANIE SUBERVILLE
